Our History
Established since 1925, from our humble beginnings we have been a full service mortuary with a focus on traditional service offerings, including traditional funerals, memorial services, graveside ceremonies,Military services, ,masonic service rituals,basic and full service cremation options, collaboration with other funeral homes, grief support, and pre-planning insurance options.In 2013 Myers Mortuary and Gateway To Heaven Mortuary Services decided it was time to make achange and time to become better versions of ourselves. Striving to be greater than expected andeven more than we hope for. Wilbur Stevenson passed the torch to the " Next Generation " of professional funeral service providers, appointing Stanley B. Coleman whom he mentored andgroomed for the changing of the guard. As General Manager, his daughter Carol Watsonas Funeral Director in Charge, Wilson B. Williams as the Chief Embalmer and Jennifer Earls as theDirector of Insurance.
